I’ve just got back into this after a long hiatus. As a kid I think I just used to buy brown, grey, green, etc. I’d slap that stuff on with no thinner. Now as a middle aged bloke I was bought a few tamiya kits and have been really being a lot more accurate with painting and loving airbrushing. I’ve definitely needed a few cheap kits to practice on.

My three of my great great granddads and two of my great granddads were the soviet soldiers during the world war 2. Interestingly, one of them died at war, but the other three died of the consequences of the war. Some of them started drinking too much, the other ones got cancer or trauma, some of them didn't like talking about it. I find it interesting and sad, how it all turned out.

thanks for the comments Hank, but I think I need to hear and see reviews of the kit being built first. for me Tamiya is the go to, based on actual build experience. Most kits out of the box seem decent enuff, but it's the build experience from the fit and finish to accurate instructions, it's here that I think Tamiya is king. But you are right at $33 the price point is hard to argue with.
